Wei Xiaoming is the president and general manager of Ningxia Xiaoming Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Co., Ltd.. He is currently the vice president of China Society of Forestry, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Economics (CSFAFE); Director of Yinchuan Comprehensive Experimental Station of the National Layer Industry Technical System; Executive director of China Animal Husbandry Association; Vice president of China Animal Husbandry Association Poultry Branch; Vice president of Animal Welfare Committee of China Agriculture International Cooperation Promotion Association; He is the CPPCC member of Qingtongxia City, the leader of scientific and technological innovation team of “Layer Fine Breeding Production and Healthy Feeding Technology”, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region; the advanced individual of China Animal Husbandry Industry; and won the Honor of “Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Quality Award”, an individual Award in 2017.

Qiu Jiahui graduated from Shenyang Agricultural University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine. In 2000, Mr. Qiu joined Liaoning Wellhope Agri-tech Joint Stock Co., Ltd. and engaged in premix sales work. In September 2001, he began to work as business manager of Haicheng Wellhope. In September 2002, he was appointed as the Deputy General Manager of Haicheng Wellhope. In January 2003, he was promoted as General Manager of Haicheng Wellhope. In 2006, he was promoted as the General Manager of Haicheng Xinzhongxin Feeds Co., Ltd. and the Marketing Director of Wellhope. Mr. Qiu was named the Vice President of Shenyang Huakang Animal Husbandry Co,. Ltd. in January 2007. In 2008, he challenged the work of broiler industrialization project as a pioneer and founder of Wellhope Industrialization Projects. Mr. Qiu was promoted as the President of broiler Industrialization Sector of Wellhope in December 2009. Since January 2021, Mr. Qiu began to work as the President of Wellhope Foods Co., Ltd.. Now, Wellhope has ranked No.1 in the slaughter number, meat production volume, and raw meat export volume in China. Wellhope plans to slaughter 1.5 billion broilers with 2 billion yuan profits, and 300 thousand tons of prepared food product till 2029. Wellhope hopes every Chinese can taste Wellhope chicken in the future, and dedicate to become the supplier of safe and high-quality meat food.

Li Wanmeng was a Huazhong Agricultural University student majored in veterinary from 1980 to 1988 and graduated with a master degree. He joined Wuhan Broiler Union Company after graduation and engaged in veterinary, poultry production management and administration successively and set up state grade-2 enterprises such as Wuhan Mai Xiang Ju. In 1995, he started systematic learning and experiencing in the technical market of animal health protection products at Intervet. Li Wanmeng joined Merial Animal Health since 2001, he has been the head of technology, marketing, business and Merial China. Currently, he is the China Country Manager of Ceva Animal Health.

Dr. Wei Jianping is an independent veterinary expert and a DVM. She is a senior veterinarian, and serves as the senior consultant of Live Poultry Production, Fujian Sunner Group. She once served as veterinary director in Dalian Hanwei Group, senior veterinary manager in North-east Company of Dachan Greatwall Group, technical director in Weihai Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Development Co., Ltd. of OSI Group China, and CTO of Dalian Chengsan Group successively. Dr. Wei has theoretical research level and practical experience in various areas, such as poultry production management, veterinary disease prevention and control, intelligent broiler house environment control, food safety, and laboratory construction. She also has insightful views and solutions in terms of technical system, production system, food safety system, and biosecurity system construction of large breeding enterprises.

Chen Hui, doctor of agriculture, professor. She is director of Department of Animal Nutrition and Feed Science, College of Animal Science and Technology, Hebei Agricultural University, the post scientist of the National System for Layer Production Technology, senior visiting scholar of Purdue University, director of Poultry Branch of China Animal Husbandry Society, director of Animal Husbandry Engineering Branch of China Agricultural Engineering Society, and vice president of Egg and Poultry Branch of Hebei Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Society.

Guo Yuming is the president of College of Animal Science and Technology, China Agricultural University, the special-term professor of the Chang Jiang Scholar, the winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the expert who enjoys the special government allowances of the State Council, the candidate of the New Century Talents Project, the national agricultural research outstanding talents and national advanced workers, the teachers’ ethics pioneer of Beijing, the academic leader of the Ministry of Education of science and technology innovation team. His additional posts are the Vice Director of the State Key Laboratory of Animal Nutrition, the Vice Director of the National Feed Review Committee, the Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, the editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Animal Science and the deputy editor-in-chief of Animal Nutrition. His main research field is poultry nutrition and feed science. Currently, he is a post expert of National System for Brolier Production Technology and the Director of Nutrition and Feed Research Department. He has published more than 320 scientific and technological papers, including more than 120 SCI journal papers, and he is the editor-in-chief who published Poultry Nutrition and Animal Immune Nutrition. His scientific and technological achievement “Nutritional Regulation and Feed Efficient Utilization Technology for Healthy Breeding of Broilers” won the Second National Prize of Science and Technology Progress. He has instructed more than 120 students who were granted the post-doctors, doctors and masters’ degree.

Wu Tong is the president of (China/Korea) Tyson Foods. He graduated from Tsinghua University majoring in Civil Engineering. Mr. Wu joined Keystone in 1990 and became the first Chinese employee recruited by Keystone. In 2011, Mr. Wu was appointed as senior vice president of Keystone China. As senior vice president, Mr. Wu led all business activities in China, including business development, finance and operations, and is responsible for the business results in China. He is an outstanding leader in the meat industry with great vision and strategic vision. Over the past 27 years, Mr. Wu has served as a key leader in advancing Keystone’s business to a new level, including establishing new operating bases, building new partnerships, and moving Keystone’s business from the South China to the North China. In 2019, Tyson Foods and Keystone Group conducted a strategic merger, and Mr. Wu was appointed as the president of (China/Korea) Tyson Foods. Under his leadership, the two companies joined hands in strength, complementing each other’s advantages. New Tyson Foods operated quickly on the right track, continued to explore new opportunities and markets, and successfully withstood the severe test of the COVID-19 impact.

Ms. Li Yang became the general Manager of Shenyang Huamei Livestock and Poultry Co., Ltd. in 2013. She was brave in innovation to attract business and foreign investment. In 2018, she successfully brought in Mitsubishi Corporation of Japan to invest in Huamei poultry industry, and thus established Shenyang Huamei Food Co., Ltd. (Sino-Japanese joint venture), with herself as the president. She graduated in 2005 with an MBA from the Graduate School of Pforzheim University, Germany. In 2016, she was awarded the title of Advanced Individual in Animal Husbandry Industry. In 2018, she became the International Visiting Scholar of U.S. Department of State.

Ning Zhaofeng majored in animal science at Shandong Agricultural University from 1998 to 2002, and was conferred the bachelor’s degree. From 2002 to 2005, he received the master’s degree in clinical veterinary medicine at Shandong Agricultural University. From 2008 to 2010, he studied EMBA and received his master’s degree in business administration. From 2005 to 2020, Mr. Ning worked in Qingdao Weilan Biological Co., Ltd., and he successively served as technical manager, project general manager, general manager of business department, general manager of maker department, etc.. In 2015, he founded a maker company—Qingdao Yi Poultry Agriculture and Animal husbandry Development Co., Ltd., and created a white feather broiler quoted price and technical live-broadcasting platform Poultry Information Bulletin (PIB) with 150,000 users. And he bred 12 million broiler annual output. Since June 2020, Mr. Ning worked as General Manager of Baoquanling Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Development Co., Ltd. of Beidahuang Group. During his term of service, the breeding index of broilers, comprehensive price of the products and so on have been greatly improved. Now, the company has deep cooperative relations with companies like Keystone, KFC, and Cargill.

Dr. Zhang Yumei is currently a professor and master supervisor at the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). She is also a professor at the Academy of Global Food Economics and Policy (AGFEP), China Agricultural University and a visiting researcher at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). She received her doctorate degree in Management from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2009. She specializes in general equilibrium models (CGE) and partial equilibrium models and focuses on agricultural policy, agricultural industry and rural development research. She has presided and participated in the research work of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the World Bank and the Gates Foundation. She has published more than 50 papers in domestic and foreign journals, edited 2 books and participated in compiling 7 books.

Guo Shuntang is the vice president and professor of College of Food Science and Nutrition Engineering, China Agricultural University, the director of Plant Protein and Coarse Grain Food Key Laboratory of Beijing Municipal . At the same time, he also served as the deputy director of the Agricultural Products Storage and Processing-Branch of China Association of Agricultural Science Societies, the vice president of China Dairy Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, the director of National Soybean Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, the director of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, the director of Soybean Branch of Crop Science Society of China(CSSC), the director of Agricultural Products Fresh-keeping Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. He is also the deputy editor of Storage and Process, the deputy director of the editorial board of Soybean Science and Technology, and the editorial board of Soybean Science and The Processing of Agricultural Products.

MD Henry Hou graduated from Qingdao University of Technology in 2009, majoring in mechanical design theory. He has 12 years of experience in the design and development of poultry farm equipment products. Currently serving as the vice general manager of Huali, he’s mainly responsible for product design and development，farm planning and design work, as well as providing technical support to domestic and international poultry sales teams.

Grace Xu graduated from Northeast Agricultural University in 2011 with a major in Animal Nutrition and Feed Science. In November 2019, she joined Cargill as Technical Application Manager of Animal Nutrition in China, responsible for the promotion and application of poultry technology. She provided the technical support to feed and integrated business, on nutrition, management and comprehensive solution strategies to improve production efficiency and enhance enterprise competitiveness in the industry. Prior to joining Cargill Animal Nutrition, she worked for Cargill Animal Protein (Anhui) Co., Ltd., DSM Vitamins (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and had many years of experience in poultry nutrition and management, with unique insights and practical experience in the assessment of raw materials, nutrition precision and farm management for breeder, layer and meat poultry.

Dr. Antonio Paraguassu, President of International Layer Distribution GmbH, Global Production Director of Hy-Line International Inc. Antonio Paraguassu is the President of International Layer Distribution GmbH, fully-owned company of EW Group GmbH in Germany – holding of the World’s leading genetic companies for egg layers. He is responsible for the for the day-old commercial chick layers production and operations in Asia/Pacific with focus on China. A a veterinary doctor by training at the prestigious Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil, Antonio started his career as a Technical Manager of Multimix Animal Nutrition. He thereafter spent seven years with Alimenta Avicola Ltda., one of the largest broiler day-old chick producers in Brazil, where he rose to the position of Director of Operations reporting directly to the President/Owner. During this period, he obtained his Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV-SP- Brazil), with an extension at Ohio State University, Ohio, USA. In 2000, he joined Hy-Line do Brasil Ltda., part of the EW Group GmbH in Germany. In 2008, his outstanding work in controlling a significant operational budget and implementing a state-of-the-art Quality Management System led to an invitation to move to the company’s headquarters in Iowa, USA as Director of Internal Veterinary Services for Hy-Line International Inc. The following year, he was again promoted to become Global Production Director at Hy-Line International Inc. Since 2015, he has held his current position which involves developing Asian markets as a priority of his work. In 2017, Antonio decided to move to China, Shanghai to be closer to the Industry and embrace the Chinese culture.

Tang Yi received her bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine (2001-2006) and master’s degree in Preventive Veterinary Medicine (2006-2009) at China Agricultural University, during which her research focused on the commercialization of ELISA kit for detection of avian leukosis virus (ALV) antigens. She also contributed to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs project on epidemiology and approaches of prevention and control of avian leukosis. From 2010 to 2014, she worked in IDEXX as Sales Manager of diagnostic kits. In 2014, she joined as Product Manager of Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health (BIAH) China. Ms Tang was centralized to BI headquarters in Germany in 2018, with a title of Global Senior Brand Manager. She currently works as Head of Avian Marking, BIAH China since July 2019.

Dr. Kyle Zhan graduated from China Agricultural University with the PHD title in Animal Nutrition in 2008, as a student of Academician Defa Li. Joined Cargill Animal Nutrition as Technical Application Manager (Poultry) in October 2018 . Currently responsible for Cargill Animal Nutrition China poultry technical support, being professional on the company’s additive and premix business development.

Liu Wujie is the deputy director of Institute of Animal Vaccines, National Veterinary Drugs Vaccine Engineering and Technology Research Center(Pulike Biological Engineering, Inc.). He led the team to create a series of new genetic engineering/multi-combination vaccines against major infectious diseases such as Avian Influenza, Newcastle Disease, and Infectious Bursal Disease of Chickens, which seriously harmed the health of China’s poultry industry. He participated in the national key research and development plan of the 13th Five-Year Plan, the major science and technology projects of Henan Province and other scientific research tasks. Mr. Liu published more than 30 research papers in Chinese and English, and received the approval of 9 National New Veterinary Drug Registration Certificates and 11 Clinical Trial Approvals from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. The products have been transferred 11 times to technical peers of biological products enterprises. The products were also promoted and applied in more than 3.7 billion copies in China. He has won the special award of National Commercial Science and Technology Progress Award, the First Prize of China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Achievement, the Second Prize of Shennong China Agricultural Science and Technology Award and other scientific and technological awards. Mr. Liu was also awarded as the Academic and Technical Leader of Henan Province and Excellent Communist Party Member of Henan Province.
